All life cycle/ Target date funds should not have the redemption option, as an adviser i have observed that always the client feels mf investment is first preferred option to get money, because it does not attract any lock in or extra charges towards redemption. Also it observed that in India the penetration of mf industry is not upto mark, therefor advisers as well as media should actively participate in bringing awareness among common population.
