He should ask client to do the change in staggered manner (say 20% ) as how can anybody say with conviction that MFs which Ranjit is going to suggest is definitely going to outperform portfolio of IT stocks. He should review clients portfolio of stocks and suggest exit from the most weak stocks first. If he tries to convert entire portfolio in one go client will obviously smell Ranjits vested interest.
