The All Kerala IFA Association was established in July 2009 as a body registered under Travancore-Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act-1955 under registration number T-1056/09 dated 22nd July, 2009 with its registered office at Trivandrum.
The main objective of the Association is to promote and activate the IFA's and empower them with professional knowledge and expertise. The Association is actively engaged in organising various activities such as training programmes, exchange of business promotion ideas, updating members on regulatory changes and how they impact business, coordinating with AMC Relationship Managers, organizing IFA meets at different locations, publishing newsletters etc. It is worth mentioning here that many of our members are pursuing the CFP programme.
The organisational structure of AKIFAA:-
There is a State Committee currently comprising of 10 members (President, General Secretary, 2 Vice Presidents, Treasurer, 2 Joint Secretaries and 3 executive members) directly elected by members in its General Body meeting. The state has been divided into 3 zones namely the South Zone, Central Zone and the North Zone. The Zonal committee is also elected by the members of the respective Zone. The Zonal Committees is headed by a President and supported by a Secretary, Treasurer, a Vice President, a Joint Secretary and 2 executive members. The term of all the elected Committee is 2 years. The Presidents of all the 3 Zonal committee are automatically the Executive member of the State committee.
The geographical jurisdiction of the Zonal Committees are as follows:-
South Zone- Trivandrum, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha Central Zone- Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur North Zone- Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod
Under the Zonal Committees District Committees can also be formed with a similar set up provided sufficient active members come forward
AKIFAA has members from all the 14 districts of Kerala. AKIFAA is probably the only truly State Level organisation which represents the IFA Community across the state and with a democratically elected governing body.
